Residential phone TVSS?

I had a customer ask me about a whole house surge supressor. Than he asked me about one for the incoming phone line. I honestly have not run into that question before. It seems logical that such a product exists, but I've never had the occaision to look for one.

Anyone have any experience with this?

There are many manufacturers.

Cutler Hammer makes a Whole House surge arrestor with phone and cable protection.
OnQ makes them also.
Many others, too.

But, Verizon, does not like them if the customer has FioS.

I assume the phone service is POTS? Not a VOIP situation?

I did a bunch of Gas Station "huts".

We used Ditek. Look at the two products on the top of the list. You would have to add a 66 block (cheap)

No problems at all with overvoltage damage in these situations.
