Hello........

I am looking for a typical Cad .dwg for a residential electrical plan with the panel layout.......something I could download from a site.......free or I am willing to pay for it......

Any suggestions??

By panel layout, do you mean panel schedule?

Why so much detail on plans for a residence? :confused:

I would guess that a CAD file might not be worth the effort. Sure, it is clean and pretty, but it would require a lot of unnecessary work. When I was designing buildings, I used a spreadsheet. The spreadsheet was easy to change, and it automatically did the math (total VA, total amps, phase balance, checking for overloaded conditions, etc.). I don't know of a CAD file that can do that. So if you change one load, you have to re-do the math yourself.
