residential price/watt installed cost

Any ideas where this number is generally these days. I know it's highly variable but still curious what people are quoting or hearing about being quoted for residential projects. We were in the $3/watt zone before the materials started to skyrocket.

It seems like it's all over the place. Prices have gone up in our area now. We do business in Noryhern CA and prices for our area are higher then say even the SF Bay area. I think companies are pretty competitive in those big city areas where there are more solar companies. Where are you doing business?

I think companies who are still just running with old low pricing are going to get caught and not do so well.

It also seems like there are big issues with the federal government targeting some of the big panel manufacturers for circumventing anti-dumping laws. I've seen named- Canadian Solar, Q Cell, Trina, Longi etc in this in investigation. It will be interesting to see what becomes of it.

I think we are about $3.25/watt current price for ground mounts. Pre inflation it was $ 2.85. We generally don't do roof systems, but I hear they are typically cheaper.
