I've been searching, and I can't find where the NEC might address a grinder pump. I have a customer who has to put one in, and I'm just looking for some info. Any suggestions?

Thanks,

Thanks,

The ones that I have seen come with a plug, and draw about 10a @ 120vac. So, a 20a GFCI circuit should do it.

all the ones I have done come with 100' of wire connected to it already. You are required to leave a 3' settle loop at pump and at alarm box that is mounted on the outside. The system reqiured a 12-3 from loadcenter to alarm box. ususally the total load was around 10 amp max.

You won't find 'grinder pump'. Think about making a list of all the different things you could plug in or wire up..........

You'll have to break it down and look in 430 (Motors), 422 (Appliances), etc.

Thanks guys for your helpful replies.
I just found out that the TWP. contractor is doing all of the install up to the house. All I have to do is run wiring to the control/alarm box on the side of the house. It couldn't get much better:grin:
