Residential steam shower ceiling lights

Having great difficulty in determining what type of fixture is acceptable in the ceiling of a residential steam shower.

Some manufacturers of steam products state that a " vapor tight" fixture is required. They are more than willing to offer you a variety of fixtures ranging from $200-$600.

I couldn't find where the NEC specifically uses the term steam shower anywhere.

From a inspection standpoint I would have to believe that a wet rated fixture or recessed trim would meet NEC requirements.

With that being said , the wet rated type only may not be the greatest choice.

Any input on products used that work well would be appreciated.

Halo 70PS is one item I noticed but never found a mention of steam shower anywhere in their literature.

Thanks

I've done a couple dozen steam showers.

Recessed light and l.e.d. trim.
I think they all come with gasket nowadays, make sure to use the gasket.

Not sure if you know, but the ceiling will be tiled.

Also, not sure if you've ever done a steam shower, but the steam unit comes with control panel and cable. Lots of times you don't see the steam until and cable until the finish, so you may need some provision to get a cable in later.
1-inch smurf tube works well if you can maneuver it.
