I am will be installing a TVSS at the service, which is a 100 amp panel with main breaker. All circuits are being used. The panel manufacture makes a 2 pole TVSS breaker that can replace existing breakers and will allow the branch circuit's to be connect to it.If surge protection is lost, the breaker trips, letting the homeowner know that there is a problem. It can be reset and work like a simple breaker untill it can be replaced. It does appear's that it only does line to line and line to nuetral, whis is fine. There will be point of use TVSS'S, also.
It meets UL 1449 2nd edtion and ANSI C62.11, NOT .41. Will this be alright to use?

Re: Residential TVSS ?

Should be OK, ignore the joules rating, means nothing. No need to worry about L-G and N-G modes, it is already covered by the MBJ.
