Residential Wire Pro 3.0 Software- Any experience? Use for bidding?

That looks to be more of a drawing tool than a take-off tool.

If you already have accubid or intellibid, I would stick with that.

I use Bluebeam for quick E-sheet edits or as built drawings.


If I'm doing full residential E-sheets, i use a program called Chief Architect. It's not cheap, but I've used it quite a bit for design work in our service department for remodels and such for 3D renderings.

Here's a couple of pages from some E-sheets I did recently for a house we are wiring for one of our service customers.... I just have them send me their CAD files and work on top of that. Chief architect also has full cad tools for drawing details.

Yeah, that's my assumption about this wire pro software. Looks like you have to draw up the house plans before you start entering circuits. That would be a lot of work just to set up for doing a bid on a residence!

It does say you can import pdf files, so you can work on top of your customers floor plan. I just didn't see where it's comparable to an accubid type program.
