Hi there

I'm wondering which type of wire or cable is an good option to hook up panels and subpanels
routing to the framings members.
One choice is use EMT and THHN-90, but is a little bit complicated to route the EMT .
It is acceptable use a SER cable ( aluminum or copper) for this application ?
Is there some other option?

Thank you in advance.

Can you use nm cable? If so then you can use ser. It is hard to know without more info. but assuming the building code allows it then you can use ser.

Yes usually AL SER. Possibly cant be used if exposed/surface mounted/subject to physical damage, or if not permitted by building type which might be like an apartment building or high rise. AL Mc cable is available and quite affordable and would cover those few situations where SER was not acceptable. I have used 250MCM-4 AL MC multiple times.
