One can download free versions of Orcad PSpice , Analog devices LTSpice, and similar FEA analysis tools off the internet.
Very easy to run all types of filter circuit simulations with those tools.
Your engineering school should have those available also. Of course, you do need to know the basics to start with, perhaps your school is waiting to introduce the FEWA tools until you have received the basics.
