I have a remodel project that the homeowner wants to update their recess lighting to LED trims. This is standard practice but we have encountered old Lightolier canless non-IC fixtures and I can't seem to find a trim that will work for these. Has anyone run into this before or have any ideas for a trim without having to rewire into a wafer light?

I installed a few Ligholier model 7-11 in my house back in the early 1980's. For now just purchase LED lamps. On one had to use a maybe 1" lamp extender to be able to use a LED pad 38 style lamp.Loved those versatile 7-11 frame ins. Had built in NM clamps, built in ground wire and could be used for old & new work Would like to purchase retro fit LED kits but don't trust any drivers made in lack of what control communist china.

Not sure what you mean by "old Lightolier can less" but if it's what I'm picturing, we used some GreenCreative retro trims on a big house a few years ago. There were about 70 of them and they were pretty easy. We used some 8", 6" and 4". We used the innofit but it looks like they have some field selectable models now too.

Thank you, I will talk to my rep about these. I wasn't looking to rewire any of these lights as the homeowner is looking for a quick solution before they move in.
