Can you use fmc to extend from emt about 10 inches for a shorter retrofit light? Existing lights are 5 feet new lights are 4 feet. Garage is piped in emt. I do not see anything in code that says i cannot do this. Please let me know if I am wrong.

I am aware of the adapters, I just was not sure about the fmc. I will make the job much easier to make connections.
Thank you for your response.

For the external clamp on FMC connectors, there is a bushing that goes inside the flex. The connector has a small hole so the inspector can see the bushing. I used to get the bushings from T&B
