Return airspace & communication cable.

If RG8 antenna cable that is plenum rated is run in a closed return airspace, do the BNC connectors need to be plenum rated?

plenum rating was intended for the cable installations which would also include connectors,supports even tywraps to reduce the spread of noxious gases during a fire. i dont think you would have a problem using a metal bnc connector.

Why would you have a connector in a closed return space?

I have never seen a bnc connector that was flamable.

No such thing as a plenum rated connector.
