Reuse overhead meter for underground svc.

Can you reuse an existing meter/socket currently fed by overhead service for a new underground service?

new underground service will be same size same ratings as existing overhead.

I told the GC yes but I was actually just guessing. I figured I'd check here.

Here anyway, overhead services are extremely rare to be newer than about 35 years old. Probably time to replace meter and socket anyway

Does seem like false economy to keep it unless it's newer than just a few years or your sockets are really expensive.
