RF interference?

I have Bosch and Ridgid cordless tools. If I have my radio on and plug in a charger I get buzzing on the radio. If I move the radio to a different cir. on a MWBC the buzzing goes away.(not a neutral problem)

If I move the charger to a different rec. on the same cir. I still get the buzz.

What causes the buzz?

The power supply switching. Battery chargers are notorious for this.

I have a Bosch "Powerbox" radio/gfci splitter, and any chargers I plug in to it will make the radio buzz except my V28 Miluakee Lithium Ion charger. The other chargers are Makita and Ryobi (which is the same manufacturer as Rigid)...

What do you mean by that Marc?

These power supplies switch on and off sharply at a very high frequency, and can generate RF interfearance pretty easily.
