Have a project with RHW-2 wire specified for underground runs....does anybody still use that or is THWN the new RHW?

RHW is usually more money and better quality than THWN, many engineers specify it for under ground runs.

Are the runs in conduit ?
Some of the direct-bury cables I see are dual rated (URD/USE/RHW)

not in this neck of the woods.
I just inspected one with 200+ street lights with 90% direct bury.
perhaps unwise.. but done.

I didn't know RHW was still being made. I remove a lot of it from old services installed as late as the 1960's. Much of it is still in good condition, some is dried & cracked. Much of what my supply houses carry is now XHHW, single conductor or cable.
