Hi All,
I am installing a new sub-panel and 2/3 SER feeder to a third floor location. I found a preexisting 1.5 ridged metal conduit sleeve to runs from the basement to third floor. The conduit will have fittings with bushings on each end with no connection to either the main or sub-panel.
I typically would use PVC in an application like this.
My concern should the ridge metal conduit sleeve be grounded?
I could install a large metal j-box strip on one end and run the SER through that first to bond it if necessary.
