this is your fault. all of you.

... especially the people who had to
tell everyone what a wonderful thing the
inspection cameras are.... i was fat, dumb,
and happy, and you ruined that.

i just got this from Ferguson's plumbing...

Rigid just came out with this one....
waterproof, extends out to 30', lithium
rechargable battery, color camera,
up is up camera head, led lighting,
zoom and pan, still and motion recording.
sd card slot, expansion port, god knows
what for.. it already does everything.

there are a bunch of things this is gonna
work well for.....

some test shots follow...... showing what
a clean install the fine cheez-whiz plumber
did on the kitchen remodel that the previous
owners of my house did.... took it all the way
down to the studs, and still did it cheezy.

The SeeSnake Micro is only $199

quite true... but for every time i wished i had something like this
(trying to read a nameplate on an inaccessable motor) there's a
good chance i'd like a picture of it as well... it's been more than
once i've had to pull a motor just to get the info

and customers do like photos... most of the time it's not necessary,
but every once in a while it's invaluable.

I think I'll have to stick with my $3 option, due to budgetary constraints. :D

George it has been my experience that as other contractors step up with the latest and greatest, your customers will judge you partially by the tools you own. Believe one thing this far out weights the versatility of the mirror. I have used a mirror for years, no comparison.

i have a mirror as well.....

one of the things i have found that tends to take quite a while, is
snoodling can light feeds in ceilings that are 2x12's @ 12" on center....
you cut the holes, and get the dvirsibit out, and if the cans are close
enough, all is well... this thing will allow me to go up to 10' between cans...

if i drill reasonably straight, i should be able to snoodle between cans
without having to cut the ceiling up.

there have been a few walls over time that i'd have given a lot to
know what was in my way when i was trying to snoodle them.

now all i have to do is tell jill that it is the $199 model....:)
nah... it won't work... she knows me too well....

truth be told, the $199 deal will get the job done just fine....
in most instances.....

I think the recording camera is more expensive.

I think the recording camera is more expensive.

Rigid has a cheaper camera which doesnt record on an sd card for 279 I th ink . I bought this 3 weeks ago the see snake 199 at hd and I have used it 3 times where each instance was worth 200 to me which was resolved in minutes. I did a small job with good help where walls were moved and said help ran cut wires to closest walls and refed. 2 weeks later the wife says 2 lights in kitchen havent worked for weeks. Now wires were disconnected and taped and shoved down holes only when it was determined that that wire was in fact totally disconnected. Now I couldnt remember which hole the wires were shoved down............ Sent the see snake down and hooked it right back out 5 minutes. This wasnt the ckt tho carpenters with sawzalls are a menace in a renovation. I would have not slept for days until I found the problem.

The first day I got it I brought it in for show and tell. THE FIRE MARSHALL stopped by and said he was going for a colonoscopy tomorrow it took every ounceof restraint for me not to say I will do it for half price right now.

Im a "mirror" guy too george, but as of late and all the old work Ive been doing lately I think its time I break down and get a camera. It gets hard sometimes trying to peak in a wall with the mirror, a flashlight and a snake at the same time. But I think I will opt for the Millwaukee version its a little cheaper and you basically get the same results
