I'm not sure I have posted this in the correct area, but maybe you can help.
What fittings are used to transition from 4" rigid metalic conduit to 4" flexible metal conduit. Such as when entering a tranformer or connection point on a motor. Thanks for the help in advance.

Celtic,

Thanks for the obvious and direct answer, a threaded ridid coupling will be dificult to thread the flex into. A threaded by compression coupling would be easier to make the transition, but I cant find a mfg. of 4".

If you have a 4" RMC stub ~ it's either threaded or not (on the end you need to flex to)

If it's threaded, put the coupling on the pipe - put the flex conn. on the coupling - put the flex in the connector.
If it's NOT a threaded end, get a threadless connector for 4" RMC and put that on....then follow the above.

If you're looking for a 4" RMC-to-flex connector as a single unit - good luck!

Put your flex connector in the rigid coupling.
Or is their something wrong with that?
Some would say there is
