rigid metal raintight locknut

I havent done much rigid, but isnt there a locknut that they use for the outside expsed to rain? cant seem to find it on the internet
 
yep, its called a weatherproof locknut, weatherproof lockring, or sealing locknut. your supplier should have them

I Only Use Them When Going In The Side Of A Panel Near The Top.
If You Are Down Low It Is Not Required.
If You Are Coming In The Top Of A Gutter Use A Myers Hub.

These are real fun to put on. I had around 40 stubs into a wireway and think hubs would have saved the time it cost to install them.

Take your utility knife and cut around the sealing ring at a 45 degree angle removing the part that protrudes into the threads. Your locknut will start much easier. Sometimes I just thread the locknut on backwards to form "threads" in the seal, and then thread it on normally. Most of the time though, I just use the knife.
