Do most E.C.’s here get involved with installing and setting up Ring doorbells, cameras, etc?
Or is it something that you defer to either the homeowner or a L.V. person?

Absolutely, as long as I get paid for it. It's really not as daunting as it seems.

I have been dabbling in home automation since the early days of X10.

I've done a few. Only helped once on the set-up since the customer wasn't very phone/app literate.

I will install, and tell them whoever manages their network or other wireless info needs to set it up.

In fact, just added a ring flood light today. Before I even had my tools loaded up, the guy had the whole thing up and running on his phone. It was never even discussed, he just assumed and did it

I set up "Nest" Thermostats ... The major problem is the "Wi-Fi" signals in a home. So, I advise extender(s)
