I will install, and tell them whoever manages their network or other wireless info needs to set it up.
In fact, just added a ring flood light today. Before I even had my tools loaded up, the guy had the whole thing up and running on his phone. It was never even discussed, he just assumed and did it

I set up "Nest" Thermostats ... The major problem is the "Wi-Fi" signals in a home. So, I advise extender(s)

These and other similar devices usually require a strong and consistent WIFI signal as well as sometimes when there are too many devices trying to share the WIFI there is need to set some priority use for devices you want to "always" have access. Had customers with issues with Generac gensets, EV chargers, as well as multiple "Ring" products from weak signal or and getting "bump" from the WIFI as other devices come online.

Do you guys actually recommend and supply the Ring products or do the customers buy them and you install? I have several Ring POE cams and for $200 each they're terrible. I would hate to recommend them to a customer and find them disappointed.

The utilities want to save energy by having a thermostat that can be controlled by them. The state wants home appliances that are energy efficient that can only be sold in California. All under the CEC (California Energy Commission).
