We have a large project where the incorrect cable was pulled. We pulled CMG rated cable and riser rated cable was needed. Is there a wire wrap or solution to preserving the riser rating without re-pulling the cable?

Metal Raceway or fire rated shaft. 2008 code cycle allowed for penetration of a single floor with CMG. I am not aware of a wrap that fixes this.

Look at T800.154(A) and (B) to see if there is a method listed that fits your situation.

This is a perfect illustration of why, whether it's fire alarm, control, or security, we don't stock anything that isn't FPLP or equal. I'm guessing, from now on, you'll wind up with the same policy.
