When perfroming a take-off on fire alarm, tele/data etc. do you count both the riser and the floorplan and use the higher counts. What is the rule of thumb if any?

If you don't seek a clarification of the ambiguity you risk having to provide whatever the customer wants. You really can't rely on either one.

If you seek a clarification they should ammend the written requirements for all bidders.
