So I'd like to estimate as close to actual as possible. My assembly lets me choose prefab or field bend elbows. There should be a guideline for when bends would happen over prefab elbow and vice versa.

So you work for one of those contractors where the office buys all the material and tells the foreman to make it work? Very often the more expensive material results in a lower installed cost because of the labor....with billing rates of about $3/minute around here a bit of labor savings really adds up.

I was fortunate to work for contractors that let the job foreman have a big say in the material that was purchased for the job after the contractor was awarded the job. If was always forced to use what the office thought would work, I would have hit the hall to go to another contractor.

If you skimp you will come up short. It always takes more couplings than you think it will.
