If you needed to make an 18" RMC sleeve with bushing, and they didn't call for a specific bushing, could you not thread the RMC and just cut, ream and slip on a plastic bushing?

If you make a thread then you can thread on a threaded plastic bushing or you could just use a bang-on style bushing that goes on without the thread.
