I was told that there is a NEC code of 5 threads minimum to be screwed into a conduit fitting or hub. I can't seem to find the answer to this anywhere. When I run Ridgid conduit I use deep threads so I have a minimum of 1 or 2 threads showing. Just curious if there is a code on this?

There is a five thread minimum required for hazardous locations but IMO that does not apply to non-hazardous locations. Often when an elbow is tightened and not facing the right direction it is backed off up to a full turn.
