RMC is a generic term and GRC is a specific term. You can get steel, stainless steel and aluminum RMC. The term GRC applies to the most commonly used type.

Typically it is the steel type that is galvanized (the G in GRC).

Aluminum, stainless, PVC-coated steel (e.g. Robroy) are not galvanized, and thus not GRC.
The PVC coated that I use starts out as GRC and then is coated inside and out. It is Plasti-Bond, by Robroy.

True. The Robroy umbrella also includes PVC-coated manufactured/marketed under Perma-Cote and KorKap brands.

Yet the point was that PVC-coated is typically not called "simply" GRC, and my oversight in stating it was not galvanized.
