RME/RMO brain storm

As some may have noticed - I have been hanging out more lately. My former employer is in its death throws and I have been let go.

Anyway - it seems no one is hiring at the moment, and putting out my own shingle is going to take some serious doing in an over-crowded - low demand market for the foreseeable future.

So I'm just thinking of how to make better use of the climate, and my knowledge and skills. I'm thinking of offering up myself to GC's as an RME in say larger companies, and RMO if a smaller company.

Wondering if anyone has ever done such, or has any words of advice on the topic?

That's why I am thinking of big company vs small company as RME & RMO respectively - besides my state laws require 10% ownership as RMO. It would also be an investment/capitol issue.

I have been trying to sell myself this way for over a year now in the Nashville TN area. The only bites I have gotten really had to do with taking my book of biz to their table and giving it to them..(Interstates). I feel like if I can win the bid myself what am I going to you guys for....but be that as it may...no hits on Qualified Agent, RME, RMO..etc.
