Could someone tell me what type of insulation is on the individual Conductors in Romex ? Im told it is THHN if so, why dont they use THWN ( even if it's a little more expensive)? This way it would eliminate all the nonsense of sleeveing it through PVC on the exterior of a dwelling being non code compliant?
