V vanetten Member Dec 13, 2005 #6 Re: romex conductors correct....336-4 ('09) says that NM is permitted for one/two family dwellings regardless the height of the dwelling unit??? The NYS bldg code classifies it as R-2 construction type. No mention of wire types to use.
