Romex Connectors installed from the inside of the box

Does anyone know of a romex connector that can be installed from the inside of an EXISTING junction box. I can't access the outside of the box without opening up the drywall, and the wires are coming in KO's without romex connectors. Also where are they available to be bought? Thanks for any help.
 
what size knock out? we use 1\2 "plastic ones that just pop in from either way, and i've pushed a glo rod thru them and fished wires along behind it. they're designed to hold the wire\romex in place. you can get them at any supply store, HD or any similar store.

Nope, that is just what it says it is a Grommet. It does not hold the rx from moving as a connector does. The connector grabs the sheath and holds it in place. I have only seen one plastic connector that is not directional and it would be a boxfill problem if installed backwards.

There's 2 14/2s coming into a 1/2" KO, the wires are already in, I can't get a regular plastic romex connector around them. The inspector told me they make one that goes on from the inside over the existing wires, but I've never seen it. The regular plastic "push-in" rom conn probably won't work.
 
One quick question, does the snap in bushing actually have to support the wire? (as in hold it in place) what good does supporting it at the box if it's not stapled in the wall...

It's probably stapled, it's coming into an old panel box which is now being used as a junction box only. There's no connector now, just coming through the KO.
 
My guess is you will probibly get away with it. There is a black out I have seen with a factory split in it that wiill alow you to install around the wire. don't cut one your self, listing violation, it will get flaged unles the inspector is in a Very good mood.
 
Me too but this Rack-A-Tiers RAT500 looks like it will work, and I think it's available at my supplier according to their web site. You learn something new every day.

Yes, Don, it's made by Raco and is called the Insider, part # 4714. They also sell it at Lowe's but under a different name. See the links below.
