Is there or has there ever been in any code book.A 42or44 inch distance between the top of the truss and the roof line. Where romex may be run on top of the truss,without any protection.I always thought if run on top of a truss,it had to be run along side a rat run or a 2X4 or 1X4 had to be added so that the wire may be stapled on the side of the rat run.To protect the romex from being stepped on.
