romex in conduit

Does anyone know in the code book if it is illegal to put romex in conduit if it is size for it? I have a customer (actually sisters husband) wanting to use romex in conduit because he bought the wire already,I've never had to do this and don't even know if it is o.k. to do.

334.12 does not infer that you can not, as long as it is not an installation subject to excessive moisture.
