Is there anything that prohibits securing nm cables to a finished dry wall ceiling that will be above a new 2” drop ceiling?
There's no mention of fastening under a drywall ceiling, only framing. But there is specific mention of romex being allowed within a grid ceilingAlright thanks. It’s a single family dwelling. Is there anywhere that states it in the code book or is it just not listed as prohibited so therefor it’s permissible.
Indeed there is. Am I reading it correctly that it is still allowed with single family dwellings? There's no mention of fastening under a drywall ceiling, only framing. But there is specific mention of romex being allowed within a grid ceiling
