Romex sheathing in conduit

Where in the NEC does it state that Type NM cable sheathing needs to be striped off before feeding it into conduit?

What code are you on??
!. It will not say you have to strip the sheathing. in fact the 08 may require you don't, if you are in a basement or crawlspace and install it in a raceway per 334.15(C).

312.5(C) is another area that allows NM in conduit, with a number of restrictions, among them being the sheath must be continuous through the raceway.
