Is romex allowed in a outdoor kitchen
Enclosed wall?
I was under impression is was not
Contractor said he just did a project and it passed I really dont think he had inspection though not sure on that

Wouldn't an enclosed wall be a dry location? Same as the outer wall on your home. As long as it's not exposed or open at the top.

Depends on the classification of the location. As SS stated it could be a dry location if it meets the definition in Article 100.

I've done ones that are an exterior wall with romex. But the ones I did that were out in the patio area I used pvc and fs boxes because they were just in stone. I'm sure there could be some form of outdoor kitchen that is freestanding and still be able to use it but that would make me concerned about what the finish could change to and things like that. What if they changeds the standard framing of the half wall to treated and put up stone with no vapor barrier or something like that.

I hope you're not saying you used Romex in the outside conduit and boxes.

No 2 separate types of installs. I've done freestanding outdoor kitchen with thwn and pvc and ones that have shared an exterior wall with the house. In the exterior wall situation I ran romex inside the house to arlington one boxes for the kitchen side.
