Never heard of it. Sounds like they want them to have a thermal break when they transition from inside to outside. Not sure how you do that. Do you have any other context that may give us a clue?

I have a note on a drawing that says all roof conduits must be thermally broken. Anyone ever hear of this? What does it mean? Thanks
Conduit often requires thermal expansion couplings for specific lengths of run. Without verifying code I believe pcv needs this if ambient heat will cause an expansion off 1/1/4 inch or 1/4 inch?
