I have a situation where the switchboard will have 1000A main circuit breaker and most likely the bus will be rated for 1200A? Do I still need to have two entrances? Thanks,

NEC says equipment rated 1200A or more, so if it also is >6' wide, you need an entrance to and egress from the working space. Does that mean two doors to the room?

Currenly we have one double door (6' wide) at the exterior wall and we don't have the double clerance (8') in front of the switchboard. Does that mean I have to have two doors that swing outside?

I don't interpret 110.26 to require two doors but an entrance and egress from the working space at each end. It could be entrance and egress from the working space but in the same room with one door out of the room.
