RS cover bond/ground

That cord is meant to plug into a Japanese outlet. In Japan, it's common to have two-prong sockets with a separate grounding screw below for devices that need it. To use your monitor in the US, simply replace that cord with a standard US computer monitor cord, an IEC C13 - NEMA 5. They're very inexpensive.

Not sure what it powers, a colleague at work asked about it. She is looking for more information. Is it safe to say the RS cover screw is not listed or labeled for that configuration? I think the end user should just swap the cable out. Thanks for the help.

Hard to say if that box is grounded or if that wire might get knocked loose. I would just replace it with the correct cord like you said.
