Yikes your correct thank youAccording to the Illustrated Dimensions drawing, dimension D, and column D in the chart, it is taper threaded.
No they do not. In my experience insulated throat connectors are pretty useless for large raceways. This is the description. Do insulated throat connectors for RGS conduit require a bushing?
Thanks. Why are they useless? No they do not. In my experience insulated throat connectors are pretty useless for large raceways.
Because when you pull in large conductors with a tugger about half of them will get broken or just pull right out when the nose of the conductors comes through the raceway.Thanks. Why are they useless?
If they don't break yes they can. Personally I prefer a cheap plastic bushing.Ahhh got it. Can they be put back in?
What’s the purpose of the insulated throat ? Same as bushing ? Prevent conductor damage ?If they don't break yes they can. Personally I prefer a cheap plastic bushing.
Yes. They're great when they work but we stopped using them after a job or two because they would get damaged during the wire pulls and you would then need to install a bushing anyway. What’s the purpose of the insulated throat ? Same as bushing ? Prevent conductor damage ?
Wait I thought you said if it’s insulated throat then there’s no bushing needed.Yes. They're great when they work but we stopped using them after a job or two because they would get damaged during the wire pulls and you would then need to install a bushing anyway.
You need the bushing because insulated throat bushings are famous for puking out their throats.Wait I thought you said if it’s insulated throat then there’s no bushing needed.
Cheat. Also, often the spec calls for them so how could you NOT use them? They are part of the connector.

Read what he said. What so typically you wouldn’t need a bushing using insulated throats connectors and the purpose of them is the same as a bushing but you use a bushing anyway? That makes no sense .
