What should be the minimum separation between 400VAC (50Hz) and 24VDC power cables running in the same cable trays as per electrical codes/practices?

Re: Running AC & DC Power Cables in the same cable tray

Since you are talking 50 Hz I would guess you are asking about something in a foreign land.

In the US, there is no seperation required by code as long as the insulation on all cables exceeds the highest voltage UNLESS the 24V circuits are power limited. Than there are some special rules. But since you used the word "power" to describe the DC cables, presumably the DC wiring is not power limted.

If separation is required, they have to be in seperate raceways, or in the same raceway with a metal barrier down the center of the raceway.

uses permitted:
services
feeders
branch circuits
signal circuits
control circuits

cables rated over 600 volts.
1)over 600 volys must be type mc.

2)over 600 volts are separated from the cables rated 600 volts or less by a solid fixed barrier of material comparable with the cable tray.
