From my understanding and correct me if i'm wrong. In commercial type spaces, not allowed to run NM romex cables exposed above drop ceiling or accessible ceiling. Can you run NM romex cable above hard ceiling type in commercial space? is there anywhere in the NEC where it talks about this in details. (Romex without conduit.

Thank you

How is the hard ceiling supported? If directly applied to structural members, I would say it is permitted. If the ceiling support is "suspended" from the structure of the building, I would say it is prohibited.

You need first to assess the building type to see if nm is even allowed in the building.
