running pipe on shelf racking

Is it legal to run pipe and mount lighting on an industrial shelf racking system, it is only anchored to the floor. if it is not where in the code can i find it??

Done all the time at Home Depot, also have seen it done in distribution centers where smaller part storage illumination is required.

You can't find it anywhere. There's no place in the code that tells us it's ok to strap conduit to a brick wall either, but we do that all the time.

What's significant is that doing so is not prohibited.
