Im working in a very old house where the meter pan is 15 ft in the air and the panel is on the second floor over stairs...it is really hokey.

I have to bring a 120v circuit and a low voltage circuit for a septic pump and alarm. There are several tiers of stone wall so underground is no an option.

There is a patio with a terrace about 10 feet from the house where i can attach wire to then pipe down until I hit the septic. How do I attach from the house to the terrace?

For the septic to work I need one dedicated circuit for the pump and two low voltage conductors for the alarm

I think your looking at doing a overhead span or if your feeling really crazy rigid conduits.
For the overhead span I would use some conduit and a 'weather head' at both ends and hang some triplex. See article 225, 225.17 and 225.18 in particular. For the low voltage, I imagine that's a class 2 circuit, we typically have two foot of separation for overhead spans between 120V and class2/comm circuits, but I cant find that in the code.

I have always run the two circuits underground with thhn in the same conduit. I'm not sure if its considered class two or not. Even if I need two feet of separation I wont be able to achieve that due to the space. What is the smallest triplex i can get?. I only need 14 gage for the circuits

OH right they are usually 120V control circuits.
I suppose you could run a 12/5 tray cable on a messenger support, see 336.10, that would be cleaner.
EDIT your title says 'UF' Cable, thats allowed on a messenger also, you'd have to suport it of course.

I don't know what to use. I just said uf because i was looking at the job and it just came to mind.

I looked up tray cable but can it be used overhead without a messenger cable. (i dont have my code book on me)

Thanks for the response tortuga!!!!

Both 2 12/2 UF and 12/5 Tray would need a single guy wire messenger and some type of approved support or 'cable rings' as they call them.
