I opened a wall up to do some plumbing in a laundry room and found the conduit to the dryer outlet and wall outlet is rusted off right where it comes out of the slab. I tried to get a fish through to pull another wire but no joy, even though I'll try a few more times befer I give up. There is plenty of room in the conduit.
There is a copper water pipe right there. Assuming good continuity to the panel (i have not checked it yet) can I bond these outlets to the pipe? I know it's not ideal/code, but from a practical standpoint if the resistance is low enough can I get away with it?
Re-piping this overhead will be a real pita.
