I am familiar with the bonding of the CATV drop at the structure, residential, commercial, or manufactured home per NEC . What about an RV? I cannot think bonding to the chassis is warrented. Wouldn't the tires play a role? Also, the customer would be required to undo the ground every time they wanted to drive. Any insights please?

Re: RV Ground

I don't see anything in 551, 552 that states on how to ground Communications Circuits
I have used 800.30(B), 800.40(B) just after(7) what looks like it should have been an FPN, and 800.41 as a guide. It does allow that the cable bonded to the last means of disconnect that has a grounding electrode also to be the point of cable bonding if with in 30' from the outside wall of the RV. I always put a grounding block also on the RV by the power cord connection point and run a bond wire to the frame of the RV. This allows the camper to just hook up a jumper from the grounding block to the site cable connection with out making any other connections.

Maybe it would make a good proposal to have a reference to the above "800" codes put in 551 and 552? ;)
