RV low voltage power switch

I recently bought an RV and the main power switch for the 12 volt low voltage power doesn't disconnect power to everything in the RV. I am assuming that since my RV has propane on board, the master switch should disconnect the power to everything except the starter for the generator.
The manufacturer tells me that this is the way they build there RV's. I'm hoping that someone can tell me what section of the NEC states that the master switch must disconnect all power to the RV, except the generator starter.

Thanks
