Type S fuses are a replacement for standard Edison base plug fuses. Using screw-in, non-removable adapters, Type S fuses have unique thread patterns in the various size ranges to prevent insertion of the wrong (over-amperage) fuse.

Sorry to say their lame search engine doesn't get me to a link to the screw-in adapter.

Try this, it looks like a standard Edison base but has threads inside that reject larger ampere ratings than the socket is rated for and a Penny will not bypass the fuse. The base has a wire that will not allow the base to back out after it is screwed into the socket. The fuses are on the right (green is 30 ampere, hex window [required by 240.50(C)] and blue indicates 15 amperes). :smile:
