Well, Marc, he took pix of the electrical violations he saw while on vacation. He posted them at Mike's place. That makes him officially "Still Nuts". For an electrician, that's normal. :wink:

I rented a house on the Keys also. The two toilets ran constantly so the next day I purchased & installed a couple of flapper valves. When I paid the weeks rent I mentioned the toilets and was told the rent was free. Seems water is high dollar there.:grin:

I do now. $60 at the Key Largo True Value. $40 at big orange here?

Those things cost that much!?? You could make one with a plug/cord whip, a bell box and a gfci recep. I would say about $25 :grin:

You can get them on special here-and-there for 29 bucks sometimes.

First rule of vacationing in the Keys -
Never check the electrical! You will enjoy your vacation more. As you drove down US1 across the islands did you notice the buzzing coming from every insulator on the power lines? It's really bad during one of the big parties like Fantasyfest or New Years.

I could have installed a GFI rec and industrial cover for $13, but I would have messed with the HO's wiring without permission.
