I have a customer that wants a plug installed about 2' above the fill pipe in the tub area. Is ground faulting the only requirement ????

I agree with John. You have to tell your customer that that is not an option. But ask what they had in mind. Perhaps the reason they wanted a receptacle at that location can be satisfied in another, and safer, manner.

but how do I plug in my LCD tv?
I guess you will have to leave a permanent extension cord from the tub, out the bathroom window, and plugged into your garage GFCI outlet. ;)

The customer will just have to live without it.

Now charlie why would you want to do that. The GFCI for the vanity sink is usually much closer. I wouldn't want to have these nude people running through the house to reset garage GFCI.:D
