I have a question for the inspectors out there. What kind of safety gear do you keep in your trucks/cars for inspecting panels?

Glasses? Gloves?

When do you use it? Resi? Some commercial? All commercial? Don't inspect hot equipment?

Thanks for the replys.

I will admit that usually for me it's nothing at any time, (I know, I know, bad inspector) but things being what they are with all of the lawsuits and being that it's budget time they are asking me what I would need.

I am with you, I wear rx sunglasses anyway so I have that covered. Gloves rarely leave the cab of the truck.

Lets take it a step further, what will you inspect without an EC present? Pull panel covers, open A/C units, pull devices.........?

For me a resi panel cover or a sub-panel cover from time to time, A/C diconnects and I'll pull a device. Anything other than that I don't have to tools for.
